Why have this partnership?

The bible is very clear on the destructive nature of sexual sin, and unfortunately, the church is just as susceptible to porn as everyone else–and this is not a “habit” to take lightly.

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. –1 Corinthians 6:18

Don’t believe it? Just take a look at these statistics from the Conquer Series:

1. 70% of Christian youth pastors report that they have had at least one teen come to them for help in dealing with pornography in the past 12 months.
2. 68% of church-going men and over 50% of pastors view porn on a regular basis. Of young Christian adults 18-24 years old, 76% actively search for porn.
3. 59% of pastors said that married men seek their help for porn use.
4. Only 13% of self-identified Christian women say they never watch porn – 87% of Christian women have watched porn.
5. 57% of pastors say porn addiction is the most damaging issue in their congregation. And 69% say porn has adversely impacted the church.
6. Only 7% of pastors say their church has a program to help people struggling with pornography.

Due to this, CCV has partnered with Ever Accountable to provide expertise in overcoming pornography because they exist to help people free themselves from porn through the power of accountability. We hope that through this partnership the congregation at CCV can live in dire opposition to the current status quo.
